How to Move Your Class from Inactive to Active
If your class is currently listed as inactive, activating it is straightforward and starts with one committed alum.
Step 1: Volunteer to be a Class Liaison
A class becomes online and active when at least one paid SWDAA member signs up to serve as the Class Liaison. This role does not require running events or managing finances. It simply means being the point of contact for your class. This can be individuals or class officers.
Step 2: Join SWDAA
The Class Representative must be a paid member of the Southwest DeKalb Alumni Association. Once membership is complete, the class is eligible to be listed as online and connected to SWDAA.
Step 3: Invite Others and Amplify Communication
Invite classmates to reconnect by sharing links to your class social media pages or online groups. Reposting, sharing, or amplifying class messages and SWDAA posts helps increase visibility and brings more classmates back into the conversation.
